Walking a Labyrinth!

Join Heather Walker at Wesley Church, St John Street, Chester CH1 1DA on Wednesday 23 September from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

What happens when we slow down and simply follow the path in front of us? A labyrinth will be laid out on the floor of the worship area at Wesley Church, offering a simple opportunity to walk, notice, reflect and listen.

Walking a labyrinth

Unlike a maze, there are no wrong turns to take. There is just one path leading towards the centre and back again – yet each of us is free to experience it in our own way. As the path twists and turns, we may find ourselves close to others and then far apart, never quite knowing where someone else is on their journey.

Labyrinths have been walked for thousands of years across many different cultures. For us, walking can become a simple act of prayer: a path of discipleship, quiet attention and holy listening. There is nothing to learn beforehand and no right way to walk it. Come and see.

Free to attend. Donations to Retreat House Chester are welcome.
